Selection Process

CET Merit → PMT → PST → Knowledge Test → Final Merit

PMT and PST are qualifying stages. Candidates can be shortlisted up to 10 times the number of advertised vacancies for the Knowledge Test.

Knowledge Test — The Most Important Stage

The Knowledge Test carries 97% weightage, making it the major deciding stage in the recruitment.

Candidates with NCC certificates can receive additional marks:

  • NCC A Certificate: +1 mark
  • NCC B Certificate: +2 marks
  • NCC C Certificate: +3 marks

Knowledge Test syllabus includes:

  • General Studies
  • General Science
  • Current Affairs
  • General Reasoning
  • Mental Aptitude
  • Numerical Ability
  • Agriculture
  • Animal Husbandry
  • Other relevant fields/trades
  • At least 10% questions from Computer
  • At least 20% questions related to Haryana

The level of the paper will be based on the standard expected of a 10+2 qualified candidate.

Exam Pattern

  • Objective-type MCQs
  • Hindi & English bilingual
  • Offline OMR-based examination
  • All questions are compulsory.
  • No negative marking for a wrong answer.
  • However, an unattempted question requires marking the 5th bubble. If the 5th bubble is not marked, 0.97 marks will be deducted for that question.

Minimum marks in Knowledge Test:

  • General Category: 50%
  • Reserved Category: 40%

Important for Aspirants

This recruitment is not primarily decided by the physical tests. PMT and PST are qualifying stages, whereas the Knowledge Test carries 97% weightage. Therefore, strong preparation for Haryana GK, General Studies, Current Affairs, Reasoning, Maths, Computer and other prescribed subjects is crucial.

Important: Candidates who had previously applied under Advertisement No. 14/2024 must apply afresh for Advertisement No. 01/2026.
